Description Position Summary The Materials / Shipping Lead is responsible for coordinating all shipping and receiving activities to ensure 100% on-time delivery with 100% shipment accuracy. This role serves as the lead person for shipping and receiving operations, providing daily direction to personnel while maintaining inventory accuracy, safety, and compliance with ISO quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned. Lead and oversee all shipping functions, including documentation, paperwork accuracy, and truck scheduling Assign and prioritize daily tasks for loaders and receiving personnel Supervise the receiving of fiber and non-fiber raw materials Coordinate personnel activities related to loading, unloading, transporting, and storing finished goods and raw materials Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and physical inventories; assist with correcting perpetual inventory discrepancies Process outbound shipments as required to meet customer and production demands Serve as back-up for the Receiving Clerk when needed Ensure all materials are stored in proper inventory locations Maintain compliance with ISO quality procedures and internal policies Support continuous improvement efforts within the materials and logistics function Qualifications To succeed in this role, candidates must be able to perform all essential job duties with a high level of accuracy, reliability, and professionalism. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment Experience in nonwovens manufacturing is preferred but not required Communication Skills Ability to read and understand work instructions, memos, and basic correspondence Ability to write clear, simple correspondence Effective verbal communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions with supervisors and team members Math Skills Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly use hands for handling materials Frequent walking and reaching with hands and arms Occasional sitting, talking, and hearing Ability to occasionally lift and/or move materials weighing up to 75 pounds Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend, and support a 24/7 continuous operation as business needs require Work Environment Work is primarily performed indoors in a manufacturing setting Occasional mandatory overtime, including weekends (Saturday and Sunday), may be required
