The opportunity will playing a crucial role in being a part of our EDF contract, which supports the warehousing solutions for the HPC Nuclear Build (Hinkey Point C) in Bridgwater. The first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Able to adapt to a changing environment

  • Attention to detail when looking at documents

  • Understanding the importance of maintaining confidentiality between suppliers

  • Be able to work effectively with others

  • Be resilient in challenging situations

  • Substantial warehousing experience including receipt and dispatch and stock management of goods.

  • Excellent communication skills and experience of positive stakeholder engagement (internally and externally).

  • Strong IT abilities specifically: Email management and Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

SUMMARY AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To support the internal operations team in management of in/outbound deliveries, working with external stakeholders to meet theirs and sites requirements for successful delivery of items. Building strong relationships with Project Managers and acting as site contact for visits and reviews, developing initiatives to support space constraints.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring the safe and effective delivery of inventory management for HPC assets in line with industry standards.

  • Communication between the Suppliers and the warehouse team

  • Ensuring the management of inventory operation management activities for assurance of the materials and equipment.

  • Ensuring that the inventory management process meets nuclear, environmental, and industrial safety regulatory requirements.

  • Supporting the contract management of the storage and warehouse operations contract.

  • Assist in the development and execution of effective strategies and plans in line with the overall

    programme
    .

  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly performance reports, project forecasting, and forward planning.

  • Creation of item records (ASN & IET) of incoming items

  • End to end processing of inbound deliveries

  • Organising, maintaining, and retrieving of electronic documents

  • Updating filing systems for Wincanton and HPC Folders on share point

  • Support with other projects within the Business
