About the Role: Worley Canada Construction Blackfalds Mod Yard is seeking a skilled Materials Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for data extraction and transformation from a wide variety of formats, including Excel files, PDF files, SharePoint sites, and more. The data sources will come from both internal and external engineering firms and suppliers, and will include BOMs from Isometric Drawings, LDT Tables, Instrument Indexes, Structural Steel datasets, Client Unpriced Purchase Orders, and other relevant documents.
This position may be located at either our Blackfalds Module Yard or Edmonton Home Office.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with data extraction and transformation from various formats.
  • Proficiency in advanced data transformation and preparation techniques.
  • Specific experience using PowerQuery is an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience with Process Piping Materials and equipment is an asset.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Extract and transform data from various formats (Excel, PDF, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Work with data from internal and external sources, including engineering firms and suppliers.
  • Handle data types such as BOMs, LDT Tables, Instrument Indexes, Structural Steel datasets, and Client Unpriced Purchase Orders.
  • Prepare and transform data for importing into Aveva ERM and Intelliwave SiteSense.
  • Perform advanced data transformation and preparation, including merging and appending queries.
  • Utilize PowerQuery for data transformation tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to prioritize work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
