Description
Description Purpose: The Material Delivery Professional – Dry Bulk Tanker is responsible for safely and efficiently retrieving fly ash and cement from local suppliers and delivering to concrete plant locations as dispatched. Essential Functions: Perform all job duties in accordance with company safety, environmental, and operational policies without exception. Contribute to a positive team-oriented culture while upholding the company’s values. Safely operates a tanker truck to haul loads of cement and fly ash from local suppliers to scheduled concrete plants. Demonstrates the ability to safely operate a Dry Bulk Tanker Loads and unloads cargo while following vendor / company policies and procedures. Properly tracks and documents activity log, trip tickets, and other paperwork as required. Reports any truck, tank, and/or route issues or incidents to dispatch. Follow all DOT Regulations Complete daily DVIR pre- and post-trip inspections on truck equipment. Ensures that all hoses, fittings, pumps, etc. are in good working order. Ensures that truck cab is kept clean and tidy at the end of each workday. Adheres to all applicable company policies and procedures. Follows company-assigned safety policies and procedures without exception. Support all business needs that require any tractor or trailer movements Attends company-provided and/or company-sponsored training classes as required. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum Requirements: Valid Class-A CDL with a minimum of 2 years’ professional driving experience. Prior experience operating a tanker truck is preferred but not required. Current DOT Physical. Clean driving record. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to work a variable-hour schedule. Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player. Physical Demands: Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Ability to push / pull maximum of 75 lbs. Ability to sit for long periods, stand, walk, type, carry, kneel, ascend and descent stairs, and bend. Ability to work primarily indoors with occasional work outdoors in multiple types of weather / environmental conditions. Ability to complete truck inspections.
