Job Description The Material Engineer is responsible for ensuring all materials used in the project comply with specifications and are approved by relevant authorities. Key responsibilities include: Review and approve Contractor's proposed materials and methods as delegated by the Resident Engineer. Oversee Contractor's daily activities, including work assignments and on-site performance. Conduct factory visits and supplier plant inspections as required. Monitor material delivery performance and accuracy of materials used on site. Review Contractor's testing requests and completed reports. Coordinate with Contractor's supervisory personnel regarding schedule, sequence, and work methods. Perform continuous field inspections of work in progress and consult with Resident Engineer's and Contractor's supervisory staff. Prepare written and oral reports for the Resident Engineer on contractual and procedural matters. Maintain Material Engineer's Daily Diary. Qualifications Relevant BSc Degree from a recognized University Must be a holder of Dubai Central Laboratory approval Additional Information Work experience of not less than 10years in design, construction and supervision of water pipeline, sewerage, rising mains, pumping stations He must also have a full knowledge of existing infrastructure networks in the Emirates of Dubai Extensive knowledge and experience in the conduct of quality inspections with hands on experience of ISO9000 quality systems About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
