TITLE: Material Engineer
POSITION OBJECTIVE: To enhance product performance, sustainability, and cost-efficiency while ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Aim to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive research, improve manufacturing processes, and deliver high-quality PVC materials that meet the evolving needs of the packaging, labeling, and industrial sectors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Material Engineer degree or equivalent degree preferred
  • Good computing skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

Responsibilities
  • Material Development: Research, develop, and improve existing formulations, researching new materials, designing and executing experiments, and characterizing materials using analytical techniques.
  • Process Optimization: Collaborate with production teams to improve manufacturing processes, staying current with industry trends and regulations, and providing technical support.
  • Quality Control: Conducting various tests (tensile, hardness, impact, etc.) to assess material properties and ensure they meet required specifications and performance requirements.
  • Testing and Validation: Overseeing the production and manufacturing processes, performing in-process inspections to ensure materials and processes adhere to quality standards and identifying deviations.
  • Innovation: Identify and implement new materials, additives, or processing methods to improve film performance and reduce production costs.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of material testing, inspection results, and non-conformances, and preparing reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to identify areas for material improvement, optimize processes, and ensure long-term product quality and reliability.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.
