Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Plant Manager, The Material Expediter will be responsible for but not limited to: Safety 24/7/365 May assist with preparing loads, staging material and moving material in the yard Notify supervisor of current or anticipated maintenance needs Verify load is secure and weight evenly distributed Verify trailer load to ensure conformance with shipping documents Transport material through shop/yard Load trailers safely/efficiently Forklift Operation Crane/hoist Operation Correctly fill and maintain paperwork for outgoing loads Other duties as requested PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively Physical ability to work and maneuver around work areas QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent Ability to read and follow written instruction Able to pass Random DOT & Company drug test Clean Driving Record Good math skills Work Location: Asheville Fabrication Facility 2nd Shift Monday to Friday Benefits: 401(k) Retirement Plan 401(k) Matching Contributions Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) EOE - Minorities/Females/Veterans/Disabled Location Shelby, North Carolina Department Shelby Fabrication Employment Type Full-Time Minimum Experience Experienced
