The internship assignment
Tesla is seeking a highly motivated intern in the Intralogistics department. The team’s goal is to implement efficient receiving, warehousing, material handling, and conveyance operations to support the overall vehicle manufacturing, while optimizing space, improving labor productivity, and creating a more ergonomic work environment for Tesla’s associates.

What You’ll Do

  • Creation and implementation of efficient material flow strategies and material presentation layouts
  • Implementation of planned processes and layouts on the shop floorDevelop and sustain parts flow within the factory using Tesla’s internal Material Flow SystemsPreparation of master data for the Material Flow System
  • Support on system set ups and configurations
  • Design of data dashboards to track, analyze and display logistics key performance indicators and metrics scorecards
  • Collaborate with supply chain, material planning, packaging and engineering teams to analysis and merge relevant data for a PFEP (plan for every part)
  • Provide insights and suggestion for processes improvements
  • Turning the planning into reality and support the launch

What You’ll Bring

  • Pursuing a BS, MS, or advanced degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or any related field
  • Demonstrated the ability to drive a cross-functional project, curious and eager to learn in a moving environment
  • Good communication skills, great attention to details
  • Proactive work mentality and a strong team player
  • Willing to work hands-on while finding pragmatic solutions
  • Fluency in English and German is required
  • MySQL & SQL knowledge is a big plus
  • Excel proficiency. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Python or any other data visualization tool is greatly appreciated
  • Having industrial/logistics experience is required, in automotive fields is a plus
