Description Position Summary The Material Handler position compiles, maintains material, parts and status information to expedite movement of material and parts between production areas by performing the following duties. Essential Job Responsibilities Receive and store materials and then pick and package items to fill orders performing regular cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records. Operates material handling equipment Checks products being shipped against shipping orders to ensure proper quantity, and identification Coordinates with the logistics department on all outbound shipments Checks packaging requirements Ensuring deliveries match purchase orders and documenting inventory accurately. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to read, comprehend and carry out detailed written/oral instructions Ability to operate a forklift Competency Effective verbal and written communication skills Creative problem-solving skills Able to work in a fast-paced environment Proven organizational skills Ability to prioritize and work independently Requirements Physical Requirements: Able to push, carry, lift, and move materials up to 25 pounds. Ability to work while walking/standing for extended periods of time Ability to lift heavy items, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive manual labor. Able to walk across a production facility. Work Environment Typical production environment. Willing and able to work additional hours as needed to ensure responsibilities are met.
