Description
Description The Material Handler – Tire Assembly is responsible for safely and efficiently mounting tires onto rims, inflating tires to specified pressure, and rolling completed tire-and-rim assemblies to the designated balancing area. This role ensures timely and quality-oriented material flow while inspecting tires and rims for visible damage, following all work instructions, and adhering to Schnellecke safety, quality, and OSHA standards. The position supports continuous improvement efforts, maintains 5S standards in the work area, and utilizes required systems and equipment to accurately process materials. The Material Packer works under the direction of the Team Leader and may perform additional duties as assigned, consistent with training and skill level. Requirements Ability to safely mount tires onto rims and inflate tires to specified pressure levels following work instructions. Ability to roll, maneuver, and transport tire-and-rim assemblies to designated areas, including the balancing station. Ability to lift, push, pull, and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods in a warehouse or production environment. Commitment to complying with all safety standards, OSHA regulations, and Schnellecke policies. Ability to visually inspect tires and rims for defects or damage and escalate concerns as required. Ability to follow standard work instructions, training manuals, and quality requirements with attention to detail. Basic ability to use handheld devices, scanners, or production systems as required for the role. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate issues to the Team Leader. Ability to pass a mandatory drug screen and background check in accordance with Schnellecke standards. Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned, consistent with training and skill level.
