The Injection Molding Material Handler will work with minimal supervision in the injection molding department to properly maintain the resin and colorant materials. Overview and Responsibilities 1. Monitors receipt and loading of bulk truck shipments of resin and colorant. 2. Manage inventory levels of all raw materials, colorant and packaging. 3. Relocates resin and colorant materials to injection molding machines (IMM) for use in production. 4. Processes scrap material for grinding and/or recycling. 5. Perform PM on pumps and filters for central vacuum system. 6. Maintain corrugate, pallets and other job supplies in production areas. 7. Drain hoppers and clean molding machines for resin and job changeovers. 8. Clean out dryers and grinders for job changes. 9. Maintain good housekeeping by ensuring material areas are clean with no parts and/or pellets are on floors or equipment. 10. Ensure all scrap bins are properly labeled and utilized, including purge/scrap gaylords and colored bins at each IMM. 11. Maintain safety policies and procedures. Requirements Working Conditions & Physical Requirements · 2nd Shift Monday-Friday 3pm - 11:30pm (30 Minute unpaid lunch) · Inside working conditions. · No travel. Will need reliable transportation. · Must be able to walk or stand 100% of the shift. · Ability to squat/kneel frequently and reach up/down 100% of the shift. Requires full range of motion to frequently bend at waist and twist the torso when locating materials. · Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. · Visual Acuity: Close viewing to read labels at close distance. Essential Skills & Personal Qualities · Good written/spoken English language skills · Forklift license required with ability to utilize sit down forklifts and pickers · Perform tasks accurately and efficiently with excellent attention-to-detail is a must. · Work independently without direct supervision and handle multiple projects and tasks. · Keep a positive attitude; be respectful to coworkers, customers and managers. · Ideally but not mandatory: use a PC and MS Office software (e.g. add codes to Excel, update and print Word) We're an equal opportunity employer.
