We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to support our operations by managing inventory, transporting materials, and ensuring timely delivery throughout the facility. In this hands-on role, you’ll play a vital part in keeping our production running smoothly and efficiently. After the initial training period on 1st shift, this will be a 3rd shift position. This position requires the ability to operate material handling equipment, perform accurate data entry, and maintain a high standard of safety and organization. Key Responsibilities Receive and unload incoming shipments; inspect materials for damage and verify quantities against packing slips. Store materials in designated locations with proper organization and labeling. Operate and maintain automated bagging equipment; inspect and troubleshoot as needed. Address issues such as clogged conveying lines or product buildup in bins. Transport materials within the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment. Maintain accurate inventory records, perform inventory counts, and report discrepancies. Pick, stage, and load orders with precision and timeliness. Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance of forklifts and other equipment. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and report unsafe conditions immediately. Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. Enter material movement and inventory data into the company’s ERP system. Complete documentation related to inventory adjustments and order fulfillment. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting preferred. Basic math, computer literacy, and ERP data entry experience. Ability to read and follow safety rules, procedures, and work instructions. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Problem-solving skills with the ability to act independently when needed. Punctual, dependable, and self-motivated. Valid forklift certification, or ability to obtain. Must pass drug screening, complete a background check and physical, and be legally eligible to work in the United States. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Work is performed in a manufacturing plant environment with potential exposure to chemicals, fumes, and loud noise. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. consistently throughout the shift. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs/ladders (up to 140’), and work in confined or elevated spaces. Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination required for operating equipment and tools. Must be able to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, humidity, and noise. Use of PPE, including masks or respirators, as required. Adequate vision and hearing (with corrective devices if needed) to detect issues and communicate effectively. Strict adherence to all safety policies, including fall protection and confined space procedures. Ability to maintain focus and productivity in a physically demanding role.
