The Material Handler is a key position in the Company and will support and contribute to the company goals of profitability, return on investment, inventory turnover, and accident prevention. The Material Handler, under general supervision, performs a combination of the following tasks: the receiving and location of inventory, make transactions to show all inventory as received, and make recommendations of any inventory adjustments necessary.   Core Competencies for this position include: * Learning * People Relations * Communication * Position/Tech Knowledge * Results Driven Essential Functions of the Job: * Focus, communicate, encourage and contribute to Safety in all aspects of the job and all company meetings * Enter inventory of purchased parts, manufactured parts, and returned goods into JDE once it is received * Complete the receiving transaction in JDE for inventory * Check and verify inventory problems or error * Research differences between actual received and purchase ordered quantity * Interpret pick sheets: match part numbers and quantities against the pick sheet * List all inventory adjustments * Pick parts from the flow racks * Receive and verify LTL deliveries * Transfer part quantities by use of a PDA scanner to the correct back flush location * Support the transformer process * Respond to request from employees and management to locate needed parts * Maintain good housekeeping and safe area practices * Assist other employees with training and inventory issues * Perform all other duties assigned by Supervisor   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s): * Capable of performing standard measurements using geometric tools (Tape Measure, Protractor, etc) * Basic math, reading and computer data skills needed * Minimum dexterity required for use of hand and power tool * Ability to operate forklift safely * Ability to lift, push or pull 50 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistance * Must be able to speak, hear and see to perform duties to communicate and build subassemblies * Must have a valid Driver’s License   Education and Experience: * High School diploma or GED required * 1+ months experience in material handling preferred
