Job Details Job Location: Hendrick Manufacturing - Carbondale, PA 18407 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School/GED Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Any Job Category: Manufacturing BASIC FUNCTION: Under direct supervision, moves material, places material into store locations, and assists in loading materials/units. Operates forklifts and other material handling equipment. Performs minor preventative maintenance and has limited knowledge of the paperwork flow and the routing of materials through the plant. MAJOR DUTIES: Compares identifying information and counts, weights, or measures of incoming/outgoing materials and work-in-process and moves them to the appropriate location with some assistance. Routes materials to specific store areas and may put the material away in specific locations. Operates forklifts, hydraulic pallet trucks, electric pallet trucks, electric hoists, and hand trucks to load and unload materials and products. Assists loading units for shipment. Uses slings and chains for handling materials/units. Handles materials/units without damage to the finish. Performs daily inspection of equipment and performs minor preventative maintenance. Cleans up and organizes the outside grounds while performing daily duties. Performs other duties as assigned by leader or supervisor. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: General knowledge of operating forklifts, pallet trucks, hand trucks and electric hoists is important, but may be learned on-the-job. Knowledge of Etnyre materials, routings, and the manufacturing system will be learned through on-the-job training. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Frequent climbing, bending, twisting and/or lifting approximately 55 pounds (and periodically heavier loads approximately 80 pounds) will be required. Must be able to withstand all weather conditions, as much of the work will be performed outside. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: All work will be done in a timely manner within established quality standards and consistent with Company policies, priorities and needs. The individual holding this position has a broad responsibility for carrying out the objectives of the Company including supporting all company policies, meeting goals, and working as a contributing team member. Performance will be measured on the function/duties described in the position description, accomplishments during the review period, and the methods/work skills used to achieve the goals.
