We are a Calgary based rail repair facility providing tank car and freight car repairs including mechanical, blast and paint, interior lining and cleaning and valve repair. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Material Handler Technician will manage inventory, ordering parts and distribution while ensure accuracy.

• Ensures orderly production and distribution of valves and parts by pulling orders from inventory
• Orderly operations of stock/material in the storage area
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording of inventory and reporting shortages
• Assist with inventory cycle counts – monthly and annually
• Prepare job kits as per work order
• Retrieve individual parts for specific jobs
• Document all inventory ins and outs
• Operate forklift, pallet jacks and other equipment
• Keep the shop, work area neat and with good housekeeping practices
• Ensure all documentation is properly captured on work orders and systems
• Ability to lift, work at heights and be able to use equipment
• Well organized and ability to maintain daily records and logs
• Other duties as assigned
• Hours of work - Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm
