We are growing and looking for a Material Handler to join our Warehouse team! The Material Handler is responsible for operating forklifts and reach lifts to supply production lines with needed components and moving finished goods from the line into the warehouse. The position will also assist Receiving personnel with offloading incoming materials and perform cycle counts as needed. Operate forklifts and reach lifts in a safe, efficient manner. Deliver required components in FIFO as requested by production in a timely manner. Move finished goods to the appropriate warehouse location from manufacturing lines in a timely manner. Perform real-time transactions using hand-held scanner that corresponds with physical material movements. Verify accuracy of inventoried items being moved including item, quantity, and lot number. Assist Receiving in the receiving process, placing incoming material in the appropriate warehouse location, verifying item, quantity, and lot number. Support the Shipping department by restocking warehouse locations with finished goods, and as requested by the Shipper Clerks to fulfill customer orders. Visually inspecting your assigned forklift or reach lift before the first use in the morning, and after returning the lift to its designated parking space at the end of your shift. Connect & disconnect charging cables as-needed. This position requires regular attendance, and is a safety-sensitive position and should not be under the influence of any substance. Requirements Valid Missouri Driver's License. High school diploma or equivalent. At least two (2) years of experience driving a vehicle. Forklift and/or Reach Lift truck experience preferred. Regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, turn, and pivot throughout the shift. Frequently required to lift, push, pull, and maneuver materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance. Operates forklifts and reach lifts, requiring coordinated use of hands, arms, feet, and legs to safely raise, lower, and position loads at varying heights. Must possess good hand-eye-foot coordination, depth perception, and spatial awareness to accurately judge distances, heights, and clearances when moving pallets and inventory. Capable of maintaining attention and visual focus while operating equipment and navigating warehouse aisles and production areas. Able to work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, wet or slippery surfaces, and seasonal temperature fluctuations. May be required to sit for extended periods while operating equipment, with intermittent standing and walking. A Day In The Life Each morning you’ll join the team huddle at 7:00 AM to discuss the day’s workload and any upcoming happenings for the week. You’ll drive the reach lift around all day fulfilling production’s component requests (i.e., delivering components to production lines and returning any unused components back into the warehouse racks) and assist with putting away any incoming truckload deliveries that are received. At any given moment, you may be asked to lower a finished goods pallet for Shipping Clerks so they can finish fulfilling customer orders. At the end of each day, you’ll park your reach lift in its designated parking space and connect the charging cables so it can be charged and ready for you the next morning! Every Wednesday, you will head to the lunchroom at 11:40 a.m. for the weekly Cosmos Minute, where the entire company meets at 11:45 a.m. to learn about other team members and special company announcements at Cosmos.
