Description

A Material Handler is responsible for moving, storing, tracking, and distributing materials, products, and inventory within a warehouse, manufacturing facility, or distribution center. They help ensure materials are available where and when they are needed to support operations. Key Responsibilities * Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments. * Move materials to designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment. * Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment. * Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts. * Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently. * Label, organize, and store materials according to company procedures. * Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies. * Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment. * Operate warehouse management systems and handheld scanners. * Assist with shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred. * Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment (certification may be required). * Basic computer and inventory management skills. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements * Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds (or as required). * Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. * Work in warehouse, manufacturing, or outdoor environments.
