WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE – MATERIAL HANDLER JOB SUMMARY: The role of the Warehouse Associate and Material Handler is to work in a high-performance work organization on a cross functional team that utilizes the employee’s ability to perform multiple tasks and work within a team environment. Candidates need to be cooperative and willing to apply their skills and rotate positions on a regular basis to make the team successful. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Work safely and follow safety rules and procedures. * Read, understand, and follow production schedules. * Gather materials as needed according to the production schedule and sales order. * Communicate effectively with shop leads for flow of product through the plant. * Maintain production information and documentation as appropriate. * Perform housekeeping duties such as 5S. * Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned such as being flexible to cross train and be used in multiple areas and departments. * Wear appropriate personal protective equipment. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: * Excellent Attendance * Strong attention to detail * Ability to follow written and verbal instructions * Basic math and measurement skills * Ability to accurately read a tape measure * Ability to use power tools and hand tools * Ability to operate a forklift * Display an attitude of continuous improvement and problem-solving EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * High school diploma or equivalent required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Must be able stand the entire shift * Must be able to lift 50 lbs
