Job Summary The Material Handler is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery and set up of parts to provide quality support to other departments. The ideal candidate must be organized and be able to multi-task to complete requests in a timely manner. This individual will work closely with the department supervisor and other members of the team to maintain a smooth and efficient warehouse operation. Essential Functions: Must be able to keep good notes to help facilitate getting correct parts to the correct jobs. Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing/equipment Meets agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner. Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled. Interact with parts department and production staff in a professional manner. Please note: All employees must also be able to work in a warehouse setting that includes exposure to noise, all weather conditions, small levels of airborne particles and occasionally lift more than 50-75lbs. EXPERIENCED with a forklift, pallet jack and hand truck Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carryout detailed written and/or oral instructions. Ability to follow through on work assignments. Demonstrate effective verbal, written, and communication skills. Self-motivated. Must be willing to work flexible hours.
