Join us as a Material Handler and play a vital role in making sure our production lines stay supplied and our finished products get where they need to go. We have an opening for two Material Handlers to join our team. Both roles are essential to keeping our operation running smoothly and ensuring we deliver high-quality products to our customers. Freshpack is a custom cheese packaging company that develops and innovates cheese products and packaging. Our products can be found in all 50 states and in most major retailers. Over the past 25 years, our team has grown from 15 to 270+ employees. It is an exciting time to join our team, as we are poised for substantial growth over the next 3-5 years. Responsibilities General Responsibilities Follow all safety protocols, GMPs, and company procedures Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles are followed Operate forklifts or pallet jacks safely and efficiently Assist the production or shipping & receiving teams when responsibilities are complete or caught up Raw Materials Material Handler Responsible for all incoming raw materials to the production floor during assigned shift Stage and prepare all required materials for upcoming shop orders and the next production shift Read and interpret shop orders and pull sheets to determine material requirements Verify material availability against the production schedule and communicate shortages Transport raw materials from the cooler/dry goods warehouse to designated production areas Conduct checks to ensure correct items and quantities are delivered Communicate with the Finished Goods Material Handler to reconcile input/output materials and minimize discrepancies Support cycle counts or inventory audits as needed Finished Goods Material Handler Restock packaging items (e.g., boxes, film, trays) at the production windows as needed Take accurate inventory of finished goods as they exit the production rooms Provide accurate finished goods counts to the Foreman or Supervisor for data entry and traceability Move finished goods to cold storage or designated areas using forklifts or pallet jacks Assist with verifying and organizing goods for shipment Communicate with the Raw Materials Material Handler to reconcile input/output materials and minimize discrepancies Shift Nights: 5:00pm - 3:30pm - Mon - Thu, with overtime on Friday when production is running Benefits Medical, dental, vision, company-paid life insurance, & more $2.00/hour weekly bonus potential Referral program 401(k) program Get paid every Friday! Requirements Qualifications 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, production, or material handling environment preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Basic math and computer/data entry skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Must be able to read and comprehend production documents, such as shop orders and labels Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift Forklift certification a plus
