Job Details Job Location: Gary Salvage Outlet - Gary, IN 46408 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: None Salary Range: $13.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Job Category: Retail Job Objective: To ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and efficiently maintained to support seamless operations. Assist in the handling, sorting, and storage of materials while upholding safety standards and contributing to the overall mission of Goodwill Industries by facilitating the effective flow of goods. This position reports to the Salvage Outlet Manager who evaluates performance annually. In addition, embodies the Goodwill Mission to: “Empower people to achieve their most abundant life” and upholds the Company Core Values of: Relentless Pursuit of Excellence, Customer-First Mindset, Humble Confidence, Passion for Mission, and Do the Right Thing. Essential Job Functions: Transport materials as needed using a pallet jack or dolly. Sort materials from gaylords, poly carts, tables, and cages for proper storage and warehousing. Accurately prepare and process salvage materials for shipment, ensuring correct handling and documentation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in accordance with housekeeping standards. Follow all warehouse safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Work closely with warehouse staff and supervisors to fulfill daily operational needs efficiently. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications Required Education and Skills: Basic mechanical, time management and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow schedules and safety protocols. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to obtain required certifications for Tipper and Compactor. Qualifications: Authorized to work in the United States. Flexible availability. Able to frequently bend, twist, reach above shoulder level, push and pull, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Able to effectively and safely use standard light industrial equipment.
Responsibilities
