This is a 1st Shift role; Monday - Friday 07:00am - 03:30pm Job Summary: The primary function of the Material Handler is to unload bar stock material from the truck using the overhead crane, prepare receiving paperwork, chamfer bars (if necessary), print Material Tags, label and move stock to the material stocking racks. In addition, the Material Handler is also responsible for cycle counting, moving bar stock with the forklift, as needed and maintaining a clean work environment. May perform QC inspection of incoming bar stock. Essential Functions: • Unload bar stock from delivery trucks using the overhead crane • Receive bar stock in following the Bar Stock Receiving Procedure • Chamfer bars *learn to operate CNC machinery * Enter data into computer system • Print Material Tags • Label all bar stock with Material Tags • Color code bar ends, when necessary • Load bar stock onto racks using the forklift • Maintain accurate counts of bar stock through cycle counting • Monitor the Bar Stock Requirements report to ensure material is available for current jobs throughout all shifts • Return wooden boxes to supplier • May perform QC inspection of incoming bar stock • Maintain clean working environment • Perform the job with minimal supervision • Available to assist operators in locating and the moving of material based on requirements • Perform other assignments as required by the Vice President CNC Operations Requirements Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent * Must be computer literate •Must have Basic Math Skills including the ability to measuring with tape and / or caliper, use of calculator * Must be able to communicate in English •Must be able to carry out detailed, written and verbal instructions in English • Must frequently lift up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds • When performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk, use hands to finger or handle or feel objects and tools or controls and talk or hear • Employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms • Employee is occasionally required to sit • Specific vision abilities require close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Responsibilities

The Material Handler is responsible for unloading, labeling, and stocking bar material using overhead cranes and forklifts. They also perform cycle counts, maintain inventory records, and assist with QC inspections and CNC machine operation.
