Description JOB TITLE: Material Handler APPROVED BY: Human Resources DEPARTMENT: Warehouse APPROVED DATE: 01/19/2026 REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager or CLASSIFICATION: Nonexempt Branch Manager SUMMARY: Performs a combination of tasks including but not limited to move, load, unload and stage accurately and in a timely manner all materials. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons. Move materials and stage appointments safely, accurately, and in a timely manner. Identifies damaged materials and records material shortages. Loads and unloads materials onto and from a variety of containers including but not limited to trucks, conveyors, racks, pallets, and/or trays; utilizes appropriate tools to accomplish task. Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to wheelbarrow, hand truck, forklift, overhead crane, electric dolly, and/or elevator. Assists machine operators as needed by lifting heavy objects by hand or by use of power hoist. Cleans and organizes the showroom and warehouse Maintains a safe, clean working environment. Participates in quality improvement efforts. Mow lawn, salts and plows lot. Performs other duties as assigned by manager. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: One to two years related experience or equivalent. Forklift and crane certified. Ability to work with minimal supervision. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following: Lift and move a minimum of 75 pounds without assistance. Climb a ladder to a height of at least 20 feet. Wear appropriate safety equipment. Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, and balance on a regular basis. WORK ENVIRONMENT: A large percentage of work time is spent outdoors where temperatures vary. Environment may be cool or hot and noise level can be moderate to high.
