Job Summary: The Material Handler is responsible for moving materials within a warehouse or storage facility using hand trucks and hand-held scanning devices. They should have knowledge of commonly-used inventory practices and rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform their job functions. This position may require a high school diploma and typically reports to a supervisor or manager while working under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. It may also require 0-1 year of general work experience. Requirements Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties/Responsibilities: Swiftly move materials between workstations and inventory using pallet jacks or carts Accurately perform systematic inventory transactions using a computer or handheld device Maintain cleanliness in the work area and ensure equipment and machinery remain clean throughout the shift Execute any other assigned duties promptly and effectively Required Skills/Abilities: Adaptability to thrive in fast-paced, occasionally stressful environments Precise adherence to written and verbal directives Flexibility to adjust to production requirements Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting at a workstation Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times Shifts: M-F 7:30am - 4:00pm (1st) M-Th 5pm - 3:30am (3rd)
