Description The Gund Company has an immediate opening at our­­­­­ Amsterdam, NY manufacturing plant for a full-time Material Handler, I /Inventory Control to join our team! Shift: 1st Hourly Wage: $20.60- $24.72 Plant/Work Location Address: Amsterdam The Gund Company is a manufacturer and fabricator of engineered material solutions specializing in customized electrical insulation parts. With 16 facilities worldwide, we specialize in custom fabricated parts manufactured according to ISO 9001:2015 certified quality systems. Summary Material Handler, I /Inventory Control Responsible for supporting inventory accuracy and material flow within the facility. This role includes receiving, storing, tracking, labeling and issuing materials, as well as performing cycle counts and maintaining inventory records. Ensures timely and accurate movement of goods while following company procedures and safety standards. Duties Material Handler, I /Inventory Control Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming materials. Place materials in designated locations following inventory procedures. Pick, pack, and issue materials for production or shipment. Performing cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits. Maintain accurate inventory records in systems or logs. Other duties as assigned. Requirements A High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience is required. · Ability to use basic measuring instruments Preferred Prior experience in a manufacturing industry and/or inventory control is preferred. Environment Not climate controlled and subject to outdoor weather conditions. Team members are exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting and may require provided PPE. Frequent exposure to fumes/dust/chemical particles, may require use of respirators or other types of PPE. Employees must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
