Description
The Material Handler is responsible for the accurate and timely movement, storage, and handling of materials within the warehouse . This role supports daily operations by ensuring inventory is organized, transactions are properly recorded, and orders are fulfilled efficiently while following Material Movement Load, unload, and transport materials, products, or equipment within the warehouse or facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks. Safely and efficiently move materials to production areas, storage areas, or loading docks. Handle incoming shipments and organize materials in the warehouse. Inventory Management Track and record the movement of materials, ensuring inventory counts are accurate. Assist with stocktaking, cycle counting, and ensuring materials are correctly labeled and stored. Report any discrepancies in inventory or damaged goods. Order Fulfillment Pick and pack materials or products for customer orders. Ensure correct products are pulled and ready for shipment, labeling packages properly. Assist in preparing materials for shipment by wrapping, strapping, or packaging goods securely. Safety and Compliance Follow all safety protocols for operating material handling equipment and handling hazardous materials. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring materials are stored in compliance with safety regulations. Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors. Equipment Maintenance Perform routine checks on forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment to ensure they are in good working order. Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule repairs when needed. Collaboration with Teams Work closely with warehouse staff, production teams, and supervisors to ensure the smooth flow of materials. Communicate any delays, shortages, or issues with materials to relevant departments. Job Requirement: Minimum education: SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) or equivalent. At least 3 year experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing operations is preferred. Possession of a valid Malaysian forklift driving license (Lesen Forklift/JKKP) is an added advantage. Basic computer literacy (experience with Oracle, SAP, or inventory systems is beneficial). Able to perform physical tasks including lifting, packing, and material movement. Willing to work shifts, overtime, and in industrial warehouse environment.
