Description The Material Handler is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within the warehouse or facility. This role supports daily operations by ensuring materials are received, organized, and delivered to the appropriate locations to maintain workflow continuity and inventory accuracy. Key Responsibilities Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks) Receive incoming shipments, inspect for accuracy and damage, and verify against purchase orders Store materials in designated locations to ensure organization, safety, and accessibility Pick, pack, palletize, and stage materials for production or shipment Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) or manual logs Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits Label, tag, and track materials to maintain proper identification and traceability Coordinate with purchasing, production, and shipping teams Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect items Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment Follow company policies and safety standards Assist with process improvements Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred Basic understanding of inventory control Ability to read work orders and shipping documents Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and teamwork Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs Class E CDL Preferred Qualifications Forklift certification Experience with barcode scanners or RFID Knowledge of ERP or inventory systems Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments
