Description
The Material Handler III is responsible for moving stock and other materials to and from storage or production areas by hand or using fork trucks. The Material Handler III is also responsible for movement of Fabrication equipment (e.g.: dies). Additionally, this role provides support to other material handlers, maintains documentation related to material handling, and maintains communication with Supply Chain to ensure all issues are resolved. Coordinate the movement of fabrication materials, such as dies(including set up) and flip and hang coils Operate the overhead crane Deliver materials safely and efficiently to various locations using a daily checklist Return materials back to stock and maintain all related documentation Provide back-up support to other material handlers Train employees new the Material Handler III role Locate material as needed by other material handlers, customers, or supervisors Record transactions using established procedures and use the Kanban system to check availability of parts Notify material department of any material-related issues Work alongside other teams across the organization Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand throughout working shift and work overtime as needed. Must have a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution Must have one year Material Handler experience Computer Skills No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
