Description Performs a variety of warehousing duties. Work involves most of the following: Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties Requirements Requirements: Physical ability to move large, bulky and/or heavy objects no less than 50 pounds. Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, repetitive bending, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
Responsibilities
The material handler is responsible for verifying, storing, and routing materials within a warehouse environment. They also perform inventory counts and prepare materials for shipment while operating necessary warehouse equipment.
