Description Job Summary The Material Handler is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely movement of materials throughout the manufacturing facility producing PTAC air conditioning units. This role supports production by ensuring components, subassemblies, and finished goods are delivered to the correct workstations while maintaining inventory accuracy and compliance with safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials, components, and supplies used in PTAC manufacturing Pick, stage, and deliver materials to production lines according to work orders and production schedules Transport raw materials, assemblies, and finished PTAC units using forklifts, pallet jacks, or carts Load/Unload trucks as they come in and are being shipped out. Communicate shortages of materials to Supply Chain Leader. Support production flow by ensuring materials are available at point of use Package, label, and prepare finished PTAC units or components for shipment Assist with physical inventories Keep work areas, warehouse, and production staging zones clean and organized Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of heavy, oversized, or delicate HVAC components Identify and report damaged materials, quality issues, or safety concerns Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow and efficiency Requirements Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Previous experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, or similar role in a manufacturing environment preferred Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100 lbs regularly Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications Forklift certification or prior forklift experience Experience in HVAC, appliance, or electromechanical manufacturing Work Environment Manufacturing and warehouse setting Exposure to moving equipment, noise, and industrial materials Standing, walking, and manual handling for extended periods Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching Ability to safely handle large and heavy PTAC components Visual acuity to read labels, tags, and screens
Responsibilities
Responsible for the safe and timely movement of materials, components, and finished PTAC units throughout the manufacturing facility. This includes receiving incoming supplies, staging materials for production lines, and preparing finished goods for shipment.
