  $1,000 Sign-On bonus opportunity - paid after two (2) months of perfect attendance. Once you are a member of the United Steelworkers you will be eligible for a $150 monthly attendance bonus and a $25 a month safety bonus. $18.67 base hourly rate plus shift differential of $.55 per hour for afternoons and $.65 for nights. You will be eligible for benefits after thirty (30) days and you will be represented by the United Steelworkers after thirty (30) days and be eligible for an Associate Degree with reduced costs via USW.  SCHEDULES ARE SWING SHIFT IN ORDER TO SUPPORT GLASS FORMING 24/7 - 5 on, 2 off * 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM - one week * 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM - one week * 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM - one week Machines and Equipment- Forklift, picker, pallets, dock pans, terminals, stretch wrap machines and similar or equivalent machines and equipment required to complete the job.  Bug-tow tracker.  Broom, shovel and sledge. Gauges and Tools- Miscellaneous small hand tools and equipment, calculators, two-way radio, printers and RF scanners. Product or Materials- Palletized cartons and glassware, loads of miscellaneous materials and similar or equivalent products and materials. Quality Requirements- Transport pallet loads of ware and material to designated areas throughout the facility without damage.  Maintain quality awareness. Maintain accurate reporting. * Transport all materials, products, equipment, waste, etc., throughout the facility formers. * Use proper and instructed driving techniques to maintain pallet load integrity. * Maintain accurate quantity and location records. * Fill out reports daily on equipment status and condition, recognize equipment problems. * Perform safety and operating checks on equipment being used. * Empty glass cullet hoppers and dirt hoppers.  * Close and open glass cullet chutes.   * Clean basement and rake hoppers. * Maintain quality housekeeping and good safety practices in the work area. * Do other work as assigned by supervision.
Responsibilities
Transport palletized glassware and materials throughout the facility using forklifts and other equipment. Maintain accurate location records and perform essential cleaning and maintenance of glass cullet hoppers.
