Description The individual in this role is responsible for receiving, storing, tracking, and distributing materials, components, and equipment used in aerospace manufacturing and maintenance operations. This role ensures that all materials meet strict quality, safety, and regulatory requirements while supporting efficient production workflows. The compensation for this role ranges from $16.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications, with eligibility for a quarterly bonus. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming aerospace materials and components against purchase orders and specifications. • Store materials in designated locations while maintaining proper labeling, traceability, and environmental conditions. • Issue materials to production teams according to work orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Maintain detailed inventory records using ERP or inventory management systems. • Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy. • Ensure compliance with aerospace standards (e.g., ISO, AS9100) for material handling and storage. • Identify and report damaged, defective, or non-conforming materials. • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hoists safely and efficiently. • Package and prepare materials or parts for shipping according to industry and customer requirements. • Collaborate with quality, procurement, and production teams to resolve material-related issues. Requirements • Familiarity with aerospace materials and parts handling procedures • Knowledge of inventory systems (ERP/MRP) • Understanding of quality standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., AS9100) • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Basic math and computer skills • Ability to read work orders, part numbers, and technical documentation • 1–3 years of experience in material handling, warehouse, or aerospace manufacturing preferred Physical Requirements • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (or more with assistance/equipment) • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely • Comfortable working in warehouse or production environments Work Environment • Aerospace manufacturing facility or warehouse • Exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures • Must follow strict safety and cleanliness protocols
