QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of two years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is required.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license is preferred.
• A minimum of two years of forklift driving experience is required, and a valid license is preferred.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This important role, reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, is a key function within our organisation and can be broken down into these key responsibilities.
The hybrid role of material handler & packaging assistant is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing and retrieving goods with a forklift in a warehouse environment, as well as preparing and packaging products for shipment. This role ensures inventory is handled efficiently, orders are fulfilled accurately, and packaging meets quality and safety standards. It requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
This role is permanent and full-time and offers a competitive hourly wage: based on experience, company health benefits and team profit sharing.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Material Handler:

• Receiving & Unloading: Accept incoming deliveries, check documentation, inspect for damage, and record receipts in the inventory system
• Storage & Organization: Place materials in designated areas, using forklift, pallet jack, or manual handling
• Inventory Management: Conduct regular stock counts, update inventory records, and report discrepancies
• Order Picking: Locate, select, and retrieve items for order fulfillment using pick list
• Material Handling: Safely move products with a forklift within the building to support daily operations
• Housekeeping: Keep areas clean, safe and organized. Adhering to health and safety guidelines
