POSITION SUMMARY: The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, preparing, and distributing materials and products within the manufacturing facility to support production and shipping operations. ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS / PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive and unload incoming materials and products Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments and report any discrepancies Stage and distribute materials for production and transfer orders Safely load outgoing shipments onto trucks or other transportation vehicles Properly secure racks and materials to prevent shifting or breakage Maintain inventory records and perform cycle counts as needed Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area Assist with additional production or warehouse duties as assigned REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: High school diploma or equivalent required Prior warehouse or manufacturing experience At least 1 year of regular forklift operation in a warehouse or manufacturing environment Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions Ability to interpret work orders, labels, and measurements Basic computer and data entry skills; experience with Microsoft Office preferred Ability to apply logical reasoning to resolve routine issues Ability to work safely with limited supervision PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
