Material Handler Job Description Job Title: Material Handler Reports to: Warehouse Manager Job Summary: PMI Pipe, Steel & Supplies Material Handler are to participate in our warehouse operations and activities. Material Handler responsibilities include storing materials, picking, packing, and loading orders. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities * Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label and ship) * Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label and store) * Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits * Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization * Complete logs for inventory, vehicles or deliveries as required * Report any discrepancies * Able to multi-task * Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers * Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment * Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations Requirements * Proven working experience as a material worker * Forklift Experience * Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods * Good organizational and time management skills * Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 50 lbs. * Ability to squat, twist, reach and stand/walk for an entire workday * Ability to work in Texas weather i.e., heat, cold, dust, rain * Able to work some Saturday's * Ability to use a measuring tape * High School diploma * Ability to read, write and speak English or Spanish * Legally eligible to work in the United States. * Other duties as assigned Benefits: * Health Insurance * 401(k) * Dental * Vision * Life insurance * HSA Plan * Long Term & Short Term Disability * Paid time off Schedule: * Monday to Friday and (8AM-5PM) * Rotating Saturdays (8AM-12PM) NOTE: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work performed by a Material Handler.
