Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Material Handler/forklift driver is responsible for accurately receiving and storing products to meet company standards of safety, productivity, and quality. This position is also responsible for moving materials to storage areas as well as the maintenance and upkeep of the yard. Pay: $23-$26 an hour depending on experience Schedule:-Mon thru Fri from 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Requirements ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers. • Operate Forklift and other warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner while meeting productivity and quality expectations. • Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, and packing of materials. • Read work orders and determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. • Transport products to storage areas using proper equipment and efficiently stack and store product • Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets. • Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items • Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected. • Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use. • Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks and/or working with equipment. • Perform other related duties as assigned. • Provide excellent customer service. • Must be able to work overtime as required.
