POSITION OVERVIEW

The material handler is to place materials in stores, maintain storage and issue materials in an accurate and controlled manner.
The Materials Handler is responsible for a variety of duties, including: loading, unloading and moving products and materials to the designated locations in the stores department, and assisting in picking and placing materials orders. The Materials Handler will be expected to be experienced and certified with Order Picker, Reach Truck and Counterbalance Truck. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
• 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to understand bill or material and other technical drawings
• Certified forklift operator
• Familiar with Epicor software is an asset
• Ability to work independently.
• Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of safe lifting and handling techniques.
