We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler Team Lead to join our operations team for our weekend shift (05:00am -05:30 pm Friday-Sunday. This role is critical in ensuring material availability, compliance with government regulations, and on-time production. The ideal candidate brings leadership experience, a safety-first mindset, an understanding of strict material control procedures, a solid understanding of warehouse operations, and a proactive, hands-on approach. In this role candidate will be required to operate a forklift and work directly with team. Candidate and candidate’s team must adhere to department’s material handling practices and procedures along with customer requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Verifies quantity, and conformance of materials to stated identifications and documentation. Works with Oracle and other computer systems including both in-house programs and customer portals. Must be able to work with a team and collaborate with other departments to meet production needs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications a plus
  • 3+ years of material handling or warehouse experience
  • Experience in leadership or team lead role
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor)
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain); experience operating material handling equipment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

  • Inventory Control Experience
  • +1 year in a leadership role
  • Working knowledge of defense regulations (ITAR, DFARS) and quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100)
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor)
  • Ability to Support audits, reporting, and documentation for government and internal reviews
  • Experience in Training and mentoring team members in material handling, safety, and compliance procedures
