Description · Maintain cleanliness in all working areas while performing duties · Follow lead direction in production operation · Works to produce products in accordance with safety, quality, & projected company goals as related to company expectations. · Assist to produce assigned products in accordance with verbal and written instructions. · Lifts and carries materials and equipment throughout work areas using appropriate material handling equipment. · Performs assigned responsibilities such as operating equipment and general maintenance. · Collects, weights and records manufacturing waste. · Takes finished rolls of cloth off the machines and palletizes them for shipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (WI’s) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s) and delivering sample swatches to the lab. · Loads new packages on the creel and air splices them to the old package. Along with loading new bobbins on the creel stands and air splice them to the old bobbins. · Responsible for cleaning assigned, machines and removing and installing new warp beams as needed. · Responsible for vacuuming the looms and surroundings as well as sweeping floors and emptying trash cans. · Maintain work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner to include returning tools to designated areas. · Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures. · Meet goals & objectives. Requirements · High school diploma or General Educational Degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. · Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English, short correspondence, and memos. · Ability to Write simple correspondence. · Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unites of measure, common fractions, and decimals. · Ability to compute rate, ration and percent. · Ability to read and understand a tape measure or ruler. · Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. · Physical & manual dexterity · Time management · Organization skills · Ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment
