Description The Material Handler is responsible for the day-to-day movement, storage, and organization of materials throughout the facility and yard. This role coordinates material needs across departments and requires flexibility to adapt to changing operational priorities. The Material Handler plays a key role in maintaining safety, efficiency, and inventory flow. Requirements Operate forklifts to load and unload trailers and trucks, dispose of debris, and organize the facility and yard Perform daily equipment safety checks and complete weekly safety inspections; promptly report any discrepancies Assist in coordinating the movement of stock, including branch loads Maintain strong product knowledge, including familiarity with the location of all in-stock catalog merchandise and the ability to move materials as needed Support order picking, packaging, shipping, and receiving activities Accurately complete all required paperwork related to shipping, receiving, inventory movements, and material receipt transactions Serve as a back-up driver for the shuttle truck to ensure operational continuity when needed Consistently follow all company safety guidelines, policies, and procedures Skills and Qualifications Certified Forklift Operator, (specific certification for each type of forklift to be operated) Minimum of 3 years of material handling experience or experience in a related field Ability to work with a team and be adaptable to a changing environment Strong attention to safety, detail, and organization Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Applicants with warehousing, material organization, or logistics experience will be given preference Ability to work collaboratively with a team and adapt to a changing environment Strong attention to safety, detail, and organization Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(k) Life insurance Paid time off Join a team where craftsmanship, safety, and collaboration come first.
