Workdays/Hours: Friday - Sunday (5:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Proven ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes, including 20T overhead cranes for loading/unloading CNC machines and shipments.
  • Strong attention to detail in verifying product quantities, quality, labeling, and order accuracy for shipments and stock management.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work environment, including daily equipment inspections and facility upkeep.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • Extensive forklift experience with a valid certification or successful completion of a recognized forklift training program.
  • Combi experience is considered an asset.
  • Proven experience operating cranes for heavy loading, including loading transport vehicles.
  • Minimum of six months of hands-on forklift operation experience in a warehouse or industrial setting.
  • Experience working with ERP systems for inventory management and tracking
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Post-secondary education preferred.
  • Additional certifications including forklift and overhead crane certification preferred.
  • Successful completion of a recognized crane training program is preferred.
Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY:

Responsible for operating powered equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count products. Additionally, responsible for inspecting inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring products are free from damage and infestation, verifying product code dates, and confirming compliance with customer requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Physically load product onto equipment, pallets or totes.
  • Restack lumber to apply sticks between layers.
  • Put-away and pick product for shipment or stock.
  • Ensure the exact number and type of products, within the production order, are checked and loaded correctly.
  • Compare the quantity, quality, labeling, and address with the production order to ensure equipment loading is complete and correct.
  • Changes equipment battery or LP tank and monitors power source as necessary.
  • Maintain the facility and the facility’s equipment in a neat, clean, orderly fashion.
  • Inspect all operated equipment daily.
  • Complete daily inspection of equipment.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
  • Helping package materials utilizing overhead cranes as well as forklifts.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Utilize 20T overhead crane to load and unload CNC machines, load sledges shipments on trucks and remove billets from the production line.
  • All other duties as assigned.
