Strategize & Scope: Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement; collaborate with cross-functional leaders to develop strategic roadmaps and author detailed Scopes of Work (SOWs) for multi-million-dollar projects. Execute & Launch: Lead the end-to-end execution of a portfolio of automation projects, managing everything from pre-launch planning, risk mitigation, and supplier coordination to on-site launch management and post-launch stabilization. Lead & Develop: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing, multi-plant team of project managers and engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Manage & Deliver: Hold ultimate responsibility for project portfolio budgets, timelines, and performance, ensuring all initiatives are delivered on-time, within budget, and meet Ford's rigorous quality and safety standards. Established and active employee resource groups Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive experience in managing large-scale, complex engineering or automation projects within a manufacturing environment. 5+ years of direct people management experience, with a proven track record of developing technical teams. Demonstrated experience managing project budgets exceeding $10M. Ability to travel to various manufacturing sites as required (approx. 25-40%). Master's Degree in Engineering or an MBA. Direct experience in the automotive industry and with material handling automation (e.g., AGVs, ASRS, robotics). Experience authoring and negotiating complex technical Scopes of Work (SOWs) with external suppliers. Familiarity with automotive manufacturing standards (e.g., GME 707, GVOSS). PMP or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) certification.
