Job Description: Nova Construction Services is an established and leading Exterior Building Renovation contractor in New York City. Nova is looking for a Material & Logistics Purchasing Coordinator to join its fast-growing Procurement team and perform a key role in material sourcing, logistics coordination, fleet scheduling, and procurement operations. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, analytical, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Responsibilities: * Source and place orders for steel, flashing, structural steel, rentals, and material procurement within required timelines. * Analyze requisitions from Field Operations and coordinate purchase orders for inbound orders. * Request and compare vendor quotes to ensure competitive pricing and operational efficiency. * Coordinate shipping schedules with vendors, Project Managers, foremen, yard, and shop teams. * Prepare and schedule all vendor pick-ups for Warehouse Drivers the day before. * Monitor and track deliveries to ensure materials and supplies arrive on time and meet project specifications. * Coordinate dispatching accuracy with the Shop Foreman and warehouse operations team. * Manage dispatch route planning for Yard and Shop operations using Verizon GPS applications and geofencing. * Assist with fleet maintenance scheduling, inspections, and tracking maintenance expenses for trucks and vans. * Troubleshoot discrepancies between purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices. * Track and monitor purchases from initial order through final delivery. * Prepare and process material returns and coordinate vendor credits when necessary. * Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing comparisons, delivery schedules, and procurement reports. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. * Support procurement analytics, reporting, and operational tracking. * Effectively communicate with field operations personnel regarding material status and logistics coordination. * Follow company procurement procedures and operational processes. Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field is a plus. * Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, logistics coordination, procurement, or construction operations. * Experience working in the construction industry is preferred. * Knowledge of construction materials, logistics coordination, and fleet scheduling is a plus. * Strong negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. * Experience with inventory systems, GPS tracking systems, or procurement software is a plus. * Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
