Description

GLO Resources is currently hiring a Material Manager to work in Belen, New Mexico. The pay rate is between $90,000 and $100,000 experience dependent. The schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM with occasional Saturdays depending on project deadlines.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Material Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing the materials planning process to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and components. This involves developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key suppliers to optimize supply chain performance, reduce lead times, and ensure consistent material availability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or other related discipline is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; 3 of which need to be in a supervisory capacity.
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • Capable of operating team machinery and interpreting technical drawings/blueprints.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Intermediate to Advanced), Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must be willing to submit to a drug screen and background check.
  • A motor vehicle record check will be performed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Standing and walking for prolonged periods
  • Ability to work in a plant, warehouse, and production environment.
  • This position frequently requires work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
  • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
  • This position may require infrequent travel, including operation of a company vehicle
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of tower parts inventory, including accuracy, organization, and cycle counts.
  • Manage slow-moving materials, negative on-hand balances, and the Red Tag/Non-Compliant warehouse.
  • Plan and lead semi-annual physical inventories and weekly usage variance counts.
  • Supervise all receiving functions, personnel, and inbound shipments.
  • Ensure accurate and timely receiving processes, including proper documentation and BPCS entry.
  • Coordinate interplant shipments and effectively communicate with customers regarding tower shipping.
  • Handle weekly/monthly SOX, scrap, and end-of-month accounting reports.
  • Manage and report on material transactions, usage variances, and shortages.
  • Lead and manage the Materials Administrator, Materials Supervisor, and full materials team.
  • Ensure compliance with all material control procedures and policies.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to maintain material availability and prevent shortages.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
