Description
Manage creation, classification, and ongoing maintenance of all material and service master data in SAP, using the United Nations Standard Products and Services Codes (UNSPSC). Apply standardized naming conventions, units of measure, and material groups to ensure consistency across procurement, finance, and warehouse systems. Ensure compliance with Harmonized System (HS) codes, customs regulations, and ATLP/Abu Dhabi Customs requirements. Identify and flag safety-critical materials and dangerous goods in accordance with Abu Dhabi Dangerous Goods Guidelines and ADOSH Code of Practice. Maintain traceability and safety documentation for all regulated materials. Coordinate with Category Managers, Procurement Officers, and Warehouse/Engineering teams to validate material specifications, usage, and risk classifications. Support engineering and warehouse teams with stock level optimization, periodic stock counts, and disposal programs. Liaise with Finance to ensure alignment between material data, cost centres, and accounting structures. Work with the Procurement Analytics Coordinator to generate categorized spend reports and dashboards. Support data validation for supplier and spend analysis initiatives. Ensure that all data modifications are reflected in procurement reports and dashboards in real time. Develop and maintain master data procedures and work instructions for company-wide adoption. Support implementation of new system functionalities and automation opportunities in SAP and Ariba. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field. Minimum 4-5 years of experience in SAP material data management or procurement operations. Solid knowledge of material coding, HS classification, and regulatory frameworks in the UAE. Experience with inventory control and stock governance preferred. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Ariba) and MS Office tools.
