JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of materials and inventory to ensure efficient production processes. This role requires a strong understanding of logistics, materials management, and production planning to meet the demands of our manufacturing operations. The Material Planner will collaborate closely with various departments to optimize inventory levels and support lean manufacturing initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in materials management, production planning, or logistics within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in MRP systems such as Oracle EBS or SAP is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with inventory control techniques and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate production schedules based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials while managing lead times effectively.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies for inventory control to minimize excess stock and reduce waste.
  • Utilize MRP systems such as Oracle EBS or SAP to track material requirements and manage procurement processes.
  • Analyze material usage patterns and collaborate with production teams to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency in material handling and reduce costs.
  • Prepare reports on inventory status, material shortages, and other key performance indicators for management review.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, engineering, and quality assurance to ensure alignment on production goals.
