Description
Inventory & Material Management Ensure stock items are ordered, expedited, and available to keep production lines running smoothly. Maintain optimal inventory levels and manage stockouts through proactive actions and root cause analysis. Collaborate with material coordinators and storeroom teams to manage stocking levels, resolve discrepancies, and control invoices on hold. Manage supplier relationships and coordinate with Purchasing on new, obsolete, or discontinued parts to avoid production impact. High school diploma or GED required from an accredited institution. At least 2 years of manufacturing or materials processing experience. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Sumter, SC facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing, planning, or materials processing experience. Prior experience with Microsoft Office, Power BI, AS400, MAPICS, VISTA, and DMM computer programs. Proficient experience using a computer, including competence in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) required. Must be able to multi-task and balance various demands while achieving goals. Demonstrate a collaborative style and work effectively in a diverse environment Able to learn from past experiences and apply learning to current situations. Self-starter capable of working with minimum supervision and capable of solving various problems as unusual circumstances arise through interfacing with other departments. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Understanding of Kanban and other material control methods. Ability to deal with both internal and external suppliers and/or customers in a professional manner and manage changing schedules. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in teams across plant and corporate entities. Self-motivated and results oriented. Strong organizational skills.
