JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Position Title: Material Planning/Management Executive
  • Working Location: Serangoon North
  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5.30pm
  • Salary Package: Up to $3,800 + VB
  • Duration: Permanent
Responsibilities
  • Sourcing materials efficiently and negotiating terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing solutions.
  • Evaluating supplier offers by analyzing factors such as price, lead time, and logistical costs.
  • Issuing purchase orders and monitoring estimated time of delivery (ETD).
  • Managing supplier relationships, including providing feedback on material quality and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Coordinating with Quality Assurance (QA) to maintain an Approved Vendor List (AVL).
  • Checking inventory levels to ensure they meet customer order requirements.
  • Analyzing usage data and stock levels to maintain an adequate supply of raw materials for production.
  • Working with customer service and production teams to align production schedules with customer demands.
  • Implementing raw material issuance using the FIFO method and aligning material allocation with the Bill of Materials (BOM) to minimize wastage.
  • Estimating and providing details on cargo dimensions and weights.
  • Planning for optimal shipping times (ETD and ETA) based on material lead times and transit durations.
  • Organizing shipment consolidation to optimize logistics.
  • Managing quotes for material transportation and overseeing the logistics from suppliers to Singapore, predominantly from the EAU, EUR, and China regions.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure the accuracy of the Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Supporting goods receiving operations as needed.
  • Preparing monthly reports on inventory values, expired materials, and vendor performance.
  • Conducting quarterly internal stock counts and supporting year-end audit stock counts.
