About Figure Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general-purpose humanoid designed to perform corporate tasks that address labor shortages and eliminate work that is undesirable or unsafe. Our mission sits at the intersection of advanced AI, robotics, and real-world manufacturing, and we are building the operational backbone to scale production of our humanoid platform. Role Overview As a Materials Planning Manager, you will own the end-to-end materials planning function that ensures uninterrupted production of Figure’s humanoid systems. You will be the critical link between demand planning and physical production, using MRP principles to drive inventory accuracy, manage shortages, and support aggressive build schedules. This role blends deep analytical work with hands-on execution and cross-functional leadership. You will work closely with Manufacturing, NPI, Global Supply Management, Logistics, and Warehousing to maintain clear-to-build readiness in a fast-moving, hardware-centric environment. Key Responsibilities Materials & Demand Planning Own demand planning at the module level, translating build plans into executable material requirements Maintain and govern the master demand file, ensuring accuracy between planned vs. actual builds Analyze manufacturing yield rates and consumption trends to refine demand signals Develop and manage part allocation plans to support constrained supply scenarios Own part change cutovers, ensuring clean transitions without production impact Inventory Management & Optimization Monitor inventory levels, turns, and consumption rates to prevent stockouts and excess inventory Drive inventory optimization strategies aligned with production ramps and engineering changes Serve as Part Request Approval owner, ensuring alignment with demand and inventory strategy Clear-to-Build (CTB) Ownership Own daily Clear-to-Build (CTB) reporting Partner closely with Manufacturing to ensure material readiness for the production floor Proactively identify and resolve material constraints impacting build schedules Materials Execution Oversee materials management activities including: PO releases ETA tracking Inventory accuracy and reconciliation Support tactical purchasing to mitigate shortages and expedite critical components Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Warehousing, Logistics, and Global Supply Management to: Track supplier delivery performance Resolve shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies Support executive-level presentations with clear, data-driven insights Process Improvement Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the planning cycle Propose and implement process improvements to increase planning accuracy, service levels, and scalability Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field Master’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management preferred Experience 5–7 years of experience in materials planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations Experience in a high-volume manufacturing or complex hardware environment Technical Skills Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred) Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, demand modeling) Core Competencies Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail Ability to identify trends in part consumption and manufacturing performance Proven adaptability in fast-paced, rapidly changing environments Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data zzinto actionable insights for Manufacturing and NPI teams Compensation The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $140,000 - $200,000 annually. The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
