Albany Engineered Composites is seeking a Material Planning & Scheduler Intern to support our aerospace manufacturing operations. This internship provides hands-on experience in production scheduling, material planning, and supply chain coordination within a high-precision industry. The intern will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure material availability and production efficiency while gaining exposure to MRP systems, inventory control, and lean manufacturing principles. Key Responsibilities: · Assist in material planning to ensure timely availability of parts and components for production. · Support production scheduling, aligning material deliveries with manufacturing timelines. · Monitor inventory levels and help analyze supply chain performance metrics. · Work with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to track orders, schedules, and lead times. · Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to address material shortages and delays. · Support capacity planning and assist in identifying bottlenecks in production. · Analyze demand forecasts and recommend adjustments to planning parameters. · Assist in continuous improvement projects related to scheduling and inventory optimization. · Prepare reports and dashboards on material flow, inventory accuracy, and production efficiency. · Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic supply chain initiatives. Qualifications Qualifications: · Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. · Proficiency in Excel, ERP/MRP software (SAP, Oracle, or similar is a plus). · Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or APICS principles is preferred. · Excellent communication and teamwork skills. · Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
